Police Quest 1: Wait for Promotion

In this chapter Police Quest 1: Wait for Promotion, you will go through a series of tasks at the police station and later handle a stolen car situation. Be sure to follow each step closely to progress in the game.

1. At the Police Station

• Drive to the police station and walk inside.
• Write the memo and put the memo in the basket (2,87).
• Go to Dooley’s office, look at the chicken, then talk to the man.
• Walk to the locker room, open the locker, then change clothes twice (2,89).
• Get Corvette keys (1,90).
• Return the extender and return the keys in the main hall, then leave the station.
• Get in your car (the blue one in the lower right), then look in the car and get the wallet (3,93).
• Drive to the Blue Room (2,95).
• Go inside the Blue Room, sit down, and wait until everyone arrives and the lady dances (2,97).
• After the party ends, drive back to the station and go to the locker room.
• Change clothes twice, then get all items, open the case, and get all items.
• Shut the case and close the locker, then go to the meeting room.
• Wait through the meeting (1,98), then take notes. You can write something like “5’8″ 145 pounds, Black hair, Brown eyes, Jose Martinez.”
• Look in the hole (3,101), then get patrol keys and get the extender.

2. Safety Check and Stolen Car Incident

• Do another safety check for your police car, then get in.
• Drive around until you get a message about a stolen car.
• Pull over the car (5,106).
• Park, then call for backup.
• When the other car arrives, open the door and get out, but DO NOT shut the door.
• Load the gun (4,110), draw the gun, then tell the man to get out of the car with hands up (4,114).
• Then tell him to lie down (2,116).
• Put the gun in the holster, then cuff the man.
• Tell him to stand, then search the man (2,118) and read him his rights (1,119).
• Tell him to follow me and walk to the police car.
• Open the door and close the door.
• As fast as you can, type look at the gun and read the serial number (4,123).
• Put the gun down, then go to the man’s car and look at the door (2,125).
• Search the car and open the glove compartment, then look, get the black book, and return the black book (4,129).
• Get the driver’s licenses, then close the glove compartment and shut the door.
• Open the trunk, then look at the dope (2,131).
• Close the trunk, then get in your car and radio.
• Drive to the jail, put the gun in the locker again, and talk to the jailer.
• Tell her to book him for drugs, then remove the cuffs (3,134).
